The Jersey Chefs Circle Menu Competition is the culmination of months of hard work for some of Jersey’s top Chef’s.

The Chefs are asked to submit a well balanced, seasonal Menu using their knowledge of Jersey produce and local tastes to a panel of four Independent Judges.

The Judges, under the Chairmanship of Franz Schindler whittle the Menus down to six finalists. Not an easy job as you can see from the Menus.

During late March, early April the Judges visit each of the six establishments in turn to sample the Menus.
(it’s a hard job, but somebody has to do it)

The Judge’s then get together to discuss their findings, award their points and  find the Winner.

The winning Menu will be announced at the opening of the Jersey International Food Festival at Gorey Harbour on Saturday May 11 2002.

The winner will receive the Victor Hugo Wines Trophy, a Magnum of Laurent Perrier Champagne and a substantial cheque from Mr. Martin Flageul, Managing Director of Victor Hugo Wines

All the Menus will be available (Lunch £15 Dinner £20) at the various Establishments for at least 3 day’s during Food Festival Week. Early booking is advised.
